Tory Burch: Making of a Show on Nowness.com
Summer may be drawing to a close but fall fashion is the perfect anecdote to the demise of balmy temperatures and lazy days at the beach. I bet some of you have been secretly pining to wear sweaters, tights and boots. And a good hair day? I am sure we all need one of those! So the end of summer is not all bad. And checking in for another post of Look Book Friday is the perfect way to beat those end of summer blues. Today's LBF comes to us from Tory Burch. The fall collection is, in a word – breathtaking. It is also wonderfully nostalgic and sumptuously fashion forward. Expressionist painter Gustav Klimt and 19th century Parisian jewelry designer Renee Lalique were the stepping stones of inspiration for the collection. With it's layered aesthetic of richly textured fabrics, delicate prints, and subtle, jewel toned pallet this collection will be sure to satisfy your decadent inner heiress. From glazed tweed, to embroidered frocks, to luxurious floral prints, embellished suede booties, form fitting lace and dark smoky tights this collection will have you embracing fall and loving it! And for designer clothes they are certainly attainable. I am finding it is better invest in a few key pieces and to occasionally purchase a number of quality garments then to be constantly buying low end clothes and accessories. In fact I have my eye on this Camille ring. I will admit I have never spent $125.00 on a ring before, but really, this is a small price to pay for the feeling of luxury and accomplishment I will received from owning such a beautiful and artistic piece of jewelry. And be sure to check out this behind the scenes video of the fall 2013 show from NOWNESS by Tabitha Denholm.
